This Privacy Policy describes how Chronic Tacos ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you visit our website at https://www.chronictacos.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, accessible at https://www.chronictacos.com, unless otherwise defined here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect several categories of information when you use our Service:

1.1 Information You Provide

When you interact with our website or contact us directly, you may voluntarily provide personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, phone number, email address, and postal address. This information is used to fulfill your requests, contact you, and provide our Service.

1.2 Log Data

  • When you visit our website, we may collect only the information that is necessary to operate, protect, and maintain the basic functionality of the website.
  • Any additional website usage, analytics, advertising, or marketing-related data will only be collected if you allow non-essential cookies through the cookie consent banner or cookie settings.
  • If you deny or decline non-essential cookies, those non-essential cookies and related tags will not be activated, and website usage, analytics, advertising, or marketing-related browsing data will not be collected through them.
  • Essential cookies that are strictly required for website functionality, security, and session management may still operate because they are necessary for the website to work properly.

1.3 Information Collected Through Tracking Technologies

We and our third-party service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, and similar tracking technologies — including tools that may function as pen register or trap-and-trace devices under applicable California law — to automatically collect routing and session metadata when you visit our website. This includes IP addresses, device identifiers, page navigation paths, and timestamps. These technologies are described fully in Section 5 below.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To operate, maintain, and improve our website and Service
  • To respond to your inquiries and fulfill your requests
  • To send booking confirmations, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications
  • To send promotional and marketing communications where you have consented
  • To analyze website usage and improve the user experience
  • To deliver targeted advertising through third-party platforms including Google and Microsoft
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, or technical problems

3. How We Share Your Information

3.1 Service Providers

We share your information with third-party companies and service providers who assist us in operating our website, delivering our Service, or conducting our business. These parties are contractually obligated to use your information only as directed by us and are prohibited from disclosing or using it for any other purpose.

3.2 Advertising and Analytics Partners

We share data with the following third-party advertising and analytics providers:

  • Google LLC — via Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager: receives IP addresses, device identifiers, browsing behavior, and session data to analyze site performance and serve targeted advertising. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • Microsoft Corporation — via Bing Ads (Universal Event Tracking): receives IP addresses, device identifiers, and behavioral data to measure ad conversions and deliver targeted advertising. Governed by Microsoft's Privacy Policy:https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement

This sharing may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California law. California residents have the right to opt out — see Section 7 for details and the opt-out link.

3.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or government request, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

3.4 Business Transfers

If Chronic Tacos is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. The criteria we use to determine retention periods include:

  • The duration of our ongoing relationship with you — for example, while you remain an active customer or user of our Service
  • Legal obligations requiring us to retain certain data, such as tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements
  • Whether retention is advisable for legal risk management purposes, such as applicable statutes of limitations or pending litigation

When we no longer need your personal information, we securely delete or anonymize it so it can no longer be associated with you.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

5.1 What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help us remember your preferences and understand how visitors use our site. We also use other tracking technologies such as web beacons, pixel tags, and JavaScript tags that collect similar types of information.

5.2 Consent-Based Use of Cookies and Tags

Our website uses a consent-based cookie system.

  • When you first visit our website, non-essential cookies and related tags will not activate unless you choose to allow them through the cookie consent banner or cookie settings.
  • If you select Allow, Accept, or enable specific cookie categories, the related non-essential cookies and tags may activate and begin collecting data based on your selected preferences.
  • If you select Deny, Decline, or disable non-essential cookie categories, those non-essential cookies and related tags will not activate, and no analytics, advertising, or marketing-related browsing data will be collected through them.
  • Essential cookies that are strictly necessary for website functionality, security, and session management may still operate because they are required for the website to function properly.
  • You can update your cookie choices at any time through the cookie settings available on our website.

5.3 Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential Cookies: These cookies are required for the website to work properly. They support basic website functionality, security, session management, and access to core features. These cookies may remain active because the website may not function correctly without them.
  • Preference Cookies: These cookies help remember choices you make on the website, such as selected settings or preferences, so we can provide a more convenient experience.
  • Analytics Cookies: These cookies help us understand how visitors use the website and how the website performs. Analytics cookies will only be activated if you allow them.
  • Marketing Cookies: These cookies may be used to support promotional activity, measure campaign performance, or provide a more relevant experience. Marketing cookies will only be activated if you allow them.

If you decline non-essential cookies, preference, analytics, and marketing cookies will not be activated, and data related to those cookie categories will not be collected through them.

5.4 Your Cookie Choices

  • When you first visit our website, our cookie banner allows you to choose whether to allow or decline non-essential cookies.
  • If you allow non-essential cookies, the related cookies and tags may activate and begin collecting data based on the cookie categories you selected.
  • If you decline non-essential cookies, the related cookies and tags will not activate, and no analytics, advertising, marketing, or non-essential browsing data will be collected through them.
  • You can change your cookie preferences at any time through the Cookie Settings option available on our website.
  • You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. However, blocking essential cookies may affect the basic functionality or security of the website.

6. Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols
  • Access controls that limit access to personal data to authorized personnel only
  • Regular review of our data collection, storage, and processing practices
  • Contractual obligations requiring third-party service providers to maintain appropriate security standards

While we take these steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected individuals and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
