A taco-chain upstart from Southern California has just claimed its first outpost in the Bay Area.

Chronic Tacos opened in late June in a Danville strip mall, with the groovy address of 420 Diablo Road. The spot seems a natural fit, as it used to be a Taco Bell. Like that chain, Chronic Tacos serves Mexican fast food, though it claims to put significantly more effort into its recipes.
