Chronic Tacos is a fast casual concept that offers the taste of Mexican cuisine in a fun, laid back atmosphere. Recently, Chronic Tacos will hold a grand opening for its newest location at Palms Casino Resort, located at 4321 West Flamingo Rd., Las Vegas, on May 31 inside The Eatery. The new taco shop will be donating 20 percent of grand opening-day sales to Street Teens, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting homeless, abandoned and at-risk teens in the Las Vegas Valley.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. with attendees including MTV celebrity Wee Man, the Chamber of Commerce and a representative from Street Teens.
Chronic Tacos was founded in 2001 by Randy Wyner and Dan Biello. By 2004, Chronic Tacos became a local sensation and the owners found that customers were flocking not only from Newport Beach, where the first location opened, but from nearby cities as well. It was at this point they realized it was time to expand. The first franchise location opened in San Clemente, Calif. The company currently has 35 locations and plans to expand across the West Coast and Canada. “We are a taco shop that lives and breathes the taco life and can’t wait to bring the Chronic Tacos experience to Las Vegas,” said Wyner, a founder and president of Chronic Tacos.
